Faith Over Fear
Verse:
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31
Devotional Thought:
Fear drains us. Worry exhausts us. Anxiety convinces us that we don’t have what it takes to keep going. But Isaiah reminds us that when our hope is rooted in the Lord, our strength isn’t dependent on what we have — it’s supplied by Him. Waiting on God isn’t wasted time; it’s where He equips us. Like an eagle riding the wind, we are lifted beyond our own limits when we choose faith over fear. The weariness that comes from carrying life alone is replaced with supernatural endurance when we rely on His strength.
Reflection Question:
Where in your life do you need to exchange fear and exhaustion for renewed hope in God?
Prayer:
Lord, when I feel weak, remind me that my strength is found in You. Lift me above the weight of fear and give me endurance to keep walking faithfully. Help me to soar by Your Spirit, trusting that You’ll carry me further than I ever could on my own. Amen.
